I thank the captain and ask for an escort to the Bright Blade Brandished Tavern.

“Thank ye Captain. Your escort is much appreciated in my time of need.” The Captain nods at you “Not a problem friend. I will leave my horse here and escort you personally. Did I mention you remind me of my son Berich? Follow me, I will lead you alongside the river on the most direct path to the Bright Blade Brandished.”

Captain Meervaan Kepellik of the Knights in Silver escorts you through the marvelous streets of Silverymoon. Past the musicians gathered to play together in the earthy overgrown courtyard even though it’s raining. He takes you round the alleyways decorated with beautiful murals and filled with planters bearing the finest flowers seen in all the realms. Into a glade overlooking a giant tree filled with small homes each flickering with its own candlelight as Halfling, elf, gnome, or human take refuge from the now torrential downpour. As the rain pounds down from above your pace naturally quickens into a run. Before you know it you find yourself in the warmth of the Bright Blade Brandished, quite a large drinking establishment. Every race in the realms can be found here and all at once. This place is loud and full of sights and smells galore. Making a sweep of the room you see a couple dwarves so drunk they spill ale down their beards as they drink, laugh, and tell war stories. A few Halflings are rolling dice at a short table next to the blazing fireplace. A slender and tall elf gazes into a wine glass at the bar as a few humans laugh and tell jokes over a roasted pig meal complete with Kelba Berry Sauce and Makau-Bo Yams. A fat half-elf strums a large harp on a makeshift stage decorated with yellow Kieke blossoms. A group of mismatched folk armed to the brim gathers around a few tables on the far end of the building. The Captain bids you farewell and as you meander deeper into the place a flying mug of ale nearly crashes into your head. (Dex Check) Ducking just under it you proceed into the room realizing that this is how they deliver the drinks. Various beverages are raised into the air using magic behind the bar and are whisked about the room until they arrive safely at their final destination.

Seeing a pile of crumpled and discarded fliers you surmise that this group of armed thugs in the back of the room is none other than the mercenaries who have arrived to take advantage of your offer of great wealth and riches in exchange for their services.

INFO: The Bright Blade Brandished is a favorite tavern of adventurers in Silverymoon as it's exceptionally luxurious and everyone is welcome there, no matter how strange or dangerous. The service is attentive and accommodating, barmaids can often be seen taking care of disputes and even guiding drunks home. They are aided by local wizards who cast telekinesis on drinks and the like that they may delivered quickly to and from customers.

  1. How does everyone feel about eventually using something like this to get together online to play?

We could use Vent for talking with headsets and use the miniatures on the game board for real-time battles and stuff.

  2. I think it would be really cool. I just need someone else to learn it and teach it to me. I don't have a lot of time these days and won't be able to set aside enough time to learn it on my own. Maybe you could help set up the first couple battles on there Tom???
ps- Love the Gnome Women thing! Hilarious!
